If you are looking for xmcd2make, it is here

The current development snapshot FREEdraft is 0.40t. download.

New! RPM's available.>
all you need to run freedraft ready to run here.
These were built on redhat 7.2. The purpose of this release is to verify the binary builds for the support libraries. I want to make it easier for people to build FREEdraft from source - for potential developers. This release is not really intended as a robust, clean, tuned, and polished release of FREEdraft. But what the hey! feel free to take a gander without being a developer. if you want, let me know at if it works or not, if you used the FREEraft binary or built it from source, and your system configuration.

The binary packaging for FREEdraft is binary.
THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO WARRANTY FOR THIS FREE SOFTWARE. EVER!

Goals/Highlights of the new and exciting 0.40 series include:

  • Open CASCADE CAD libraries are used for geometric types and algorithms. *done*
  • MSVC++6 Project files for building FREEdraft on Windoze. *done*
  • Import and export of DXF using the dime dxf library. *import prototype now reads circles and lines, while linetype support is progressing*
  • A new system for assigning attributes to entities, allowing for any number of arbituary attributes to be attached to any entity. The new attribute system is built on the open cascade smart pointer system and my favorite C++ tool: STL.( I am not using OCAF, although it is conceptually similar).

Goals of the much anticipated .41 series:

  • Simple Linear, Circular, and Angular dimensions
  • Groups
  • Transformations
  • Improved Handling of attributes
